For June 2017 we welcome Caspyn Midsummer Dry Gin from the beautiful West Penwith area of Cornwall.
A perfect Gin for June and long summery light evenings this gin evokes warmth having been infused with summer flora, delicious served with crisp cucumber and tonic.
We always love a gin with a story behind it. Shaun the head honcho of Pocketful of Stones, a true drinking buff and a gent to boot wanted to name the gin after a local ring of stones in Cornwall. It turned out the name he was dreaming of was a sign showing the acronym of the local official body that guarded over them....they are in fact the 19 Merry Maidens - worth a visit if you're ever in deepest West Cornwall. With the spelling wrong, as well as the name CASPN (Cornwall Ancient Sites Protection Network) Caspyn Gins were born!
Serving options - Using a balloon glass and some large chunks of ice with a generous pour of Caspyn Midsummer Gin add Thomas Henry Elderflower or Indian Tonic and top with strawberries. if you want some extra warmth add some black peppercorns too.
