We heard recently of an incident of a nut allergy sufferer reacting to a G&T where the Gin had included almonds in the distillation.
Previously we had understood that protein compounds which cause the reaction are not carried over in true distillation, as do many of our distilling colleagues.
This got us thinking that perhaps a list of gins that are distilled without the use of nuts might allow Gin lovers to choose more confidently.
The information has been sought from the distillers, this applies to the gin only - not the products it may be served with.
